In Germany, consumption of wood pellets is about 1.6 million tons per year. Wood pellets are used in 150,000 homes and businesses as a central heating fuel. The European market is booming, and Canada is the second largest pellet exporter. This is good news for Canadian company Viridis Energy Inc. (TSX: VRD.V), which exports over 90% of its production overseas.
