In 2002, a man named Joe de Casa was working in his Northamptonshire garden in England when an adder snake suddenly jumped out and bit him in the hand. Luckily, he survived the bite. Like many seniors, at 61, Joe had been a sufferer of severe arthritis for many years in his wrists and fingers, and in the months following the snake bite, he claimed that he experienced the only pain free days in years. “I would quite like to find another snake and invite him to bite me. I am not suggesting that it cures arthritis, but it could possibly have anti-inflammatory properties,” Mr. De Casa said. Each year, thousands of people across the globe die from poisonous snakebites. Who would have guessed that scientists and researchers would one day isolate beneficial components from otherwise deadly venom for use in medical applications? Yet eight years after Joe de Casa’s surprising discovery, scientists have developed an over-the-counter pain reliever derived from cobra venom under the brand-name Cobroxin™.
XenaCare Holdings, Inc.(OTCBB: XCHO), a company specializing in the branding, marketing and retail distribution of consumer healthcare products, recently launched a large-scale advertising campaign for Cobroxin, the company’s primary product. Cobroxin is the first OTC pain reliever proven to treat moderate to severe chronic pain, any discomfort severe enough to interfere with work and sleep. Many other drugs in this category, like Vicodin and Percocet, require prescriptions. Cobroxin works by a different mechanism than that of the usual over-the-counter pain-relieving drugs such as Tylenol or Advil, or opioids, such as Vicodin, OxyContin, or morphine. XenaCare is positioning Cobroxin as a unique alternative for individuals who cannot tolerate or are not getting relief from OTC medicines and who would like to avoid the side effects of opioids. A few of the characteristics that make Cobroxin superior to opiate drugs are that it is all natural, non-addictive, non-narcotic, and long-lasting.
The drug is currently available as an oral spray for treating migraine headaches, neck aches, shoulder pain, cramps, lower back pain, and neuralgia. It is also available as a topical gel for treating joint pain and pain associated with repetitive stress and arthritis.
XenaCare has reached sales agreements with a number of drug store and food market chains, including such major companies as Walgreens, CVS, Winn-Dixie, Publix, RiteAid, Duane Reade, and Meijer. The company expects widening distribution and heavier advertising to accelerate growth in the second half of 2010.
Cobra venom may also be effective as an anti-aging agent, studies show, since it appears to inhibit collagen breakdown. With more research somebody could possibly make a lot of money off this idea!

Ive been a cronnic pain sufferer for many years and have tried many things,I would like to try the product, but unfortunately im on a disability pension, with not money to spare.I would like to get back in to the workforce, would like to try it,I have many fiends who would try it too.
Is Cobroxin available in Walgreens, Rite aid yet, I have cronic neck pain from a severe motor vehicle wreck that broke my neck in 4 places, and very nearly killed me, yet I DO NOT WANT STRONG NARCOTICS, I am NOT into being an addict even though my Doctors at one time suggested Methedone for long term pain relief. I do not want such drugs. I had many multiple life threatening injuries, and this might be a GOD send for me.
I just started cobra venom today nurse with arthritis 15 years from retirement will let you know how it works
how did it work
I’ve been using Cobroxin since it was first made available. It worked better than the Vicodin I was prescribed following a shoulder surgery, and without any side affects like you get from the opim based pain meds. I now use it for pain that comes in my knees at times – it’s fast acting. My wife and Mom use it also with amazing results. I use the topical gel and my Mom uses the oral spray.
Looking for wholesale source for both the spray and gel.
Advise lowest price which includes shipping and handling charges.
Have used on hands, wrists, fingers, arm, thigh, leg, neck to stop cramps with some relief.
Would like to know if it hsa been successfully used to create nerve blocks? Especially for the pudendal dorsal nerves.

You know what? This stuff works — it really rather “numbs it up”. And I’ll take “numb” any day over what I had. Knee pain — have already had knee replacement in right knee, and am worried about the left, but . . .a couple of days, and this stuff has taken the edge off. I am AMAZED! I mean AMAZED! Started out with a little dab, in case it was going to kill me and have worked up to a full scale knee-rubdown — did have a slight headache the first day and a half or so.
After experiencing pain in my wrist for three months and finally being diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the basal thumb joint, I found Cobroxin at my local CVS store. It cost $20 for 2 ounces and, although I’m not positive yet, I think it just might be worth it! I have only used it twice and I noticed some numbing of the pain the second time. The directions are to squeeze it on the area that needs pain relief and then rub it in. I guess there isn’t any other way to apply it but I noticed the finger(s) that I used to rub it in also got a little bit numb!
#l is cobroxin the same as cobra venom?
where can I buy it in Okla. City. I’ve read about cobra venom. Asked at CVS and they didn’t know about it. Maybe I should have asked for cobroxin. Will appreciate any information. Marsha Karchmer
Was recomement by a rn I work with for my daughter who has scoliosis. I tried on my self first on my knees. It work great but also had a side effect. It shrunk my varcose veins and I had some ropes for veins!
I have an impinged nerve in my lower back due to a herniated disk and I’ve had severe pain in my back and numbness in my leg for almost a year. I had 2 epidural anesthetic injections with no results and I was recently told surgery and prescription meds are my only option for relief. I stumbled across Cobroxin at Walgreenes and within a day I felt 90% better, the day after that 100% better and I’m now completely pain free with the exception of occaisonal pangs if I twist the wrong way but there is no numbness at all.
As an experiment I stopped taking it for 12 hours. By the next morning the pain and numbness was coming back. I took a couple of sprays and within 45 minutes the pain was once again gone.
It’s been 2 weeks now and so far so good. No side effects either. If you have arthritic or nerve pain, give this stuff a try. I hate to be cliche but it’s “a miracle”.
this is my frist time try.my knees hurt so bad .do it take pain out .because i still having pain do it come in ext strength
